So here is the story so far...
I can't backup the 'numerical' directories of the gallery. I can't get inside the folders to see what's there. (Insufficient Permissions???)
This is what I told my host

The gallery package should be able to delete them as it was the software that created them, the permissions can't be changed except via the web based software and a backup would have to be over the web rather than ftp.
If you change the permissions to make them world readable via the web then they'll be downloadable via ftp.

ok, thanks. But is this normal?
I haven't had problems backing up Threads previously.
Is there a way/script that could be run to change ownership from within threads so that I don't have to get my host to do it everytime I need to backup?
