1885 United States Cavalry .45-70 Cartridge Springfield Carbine Web Prairie Belt

The US Cavalry belt is used during wartime to aid soliders in their duties. The belt comes with 45 cartridge loops for .45-70 carbine ammunition. 

 The belt is a dark tan color. The brass buckle is attached to the belt with a brown leather strap. The strip with belt holes is also made of leather.  At the point where the leather strap with the belt holds meets the woven part of the belt, the initals \"T.R.\" have been stamped into the leather. About 10 inches from the buckle, a brass saber hook is attached to a small leather strap that is riveted to the belt. 

The overall length of the belt, from buckle to end of the belt stap, measures approximately 45 inches. The belt strap has eight holes. The woven part of the belt measures approximately 3 inches wide. On the back of the woven part of the belt, the name \"C L Wilder\" has been written in black marker. 

The belt is in used condition. The woven material has some staining on the cartridge loops. Five of the cartridge loops have some material worn or torn away. Some of the stitching on the leather is fraying or torn slighly.
