This wonderful and highly sought after, Tin Litho Beer Tray measures 12\" in diameter and features a fantastic, allegorical image of a female \"American Beauty\" surrounded by the grounds of the Panama-Pacific World\'s Fair held at San Francisco in 1915. Text at the bottom of the central image reads \"California Invites The World\" and text on the raised rim reads \"Ruhstaller Gilt Edge Lager / Sacramento, California\".
This outstanding, Pre-Prohibition Ruhstaller Brewery Advertising Beer Tray carries the mark of the manufacturer which reads \"Kaufmann & Strauss Co. NY, 2020\". The Chromolithography is of the VERY highest quality as would be expected from the outstanding craftsmen employed by this premier maker of tin lithographed advertising items.
This very beautiful, 1915 Ruhstaller Brewery Advertising Serving Tray is not a reproduction, reissue or restrike but is an original 1915 Serving Tray manufactured by Kaufmann & Strauss Co. for the Brewery to advertise their Beer.
This beautiful and exceptionally rare, Pre-Prohibition Tin Lithograph Ruhstaller Brewery Advertising Beer Tray is in very good to excellent condition and displays beautifully. The Chromolithography is bright and bold - rich and warm and very attractive. There are no major scratches or areas of surface loss and the surface is stable. There are less than a handful of tiny surface blemishes to the Image area as well as some small nicks and surface loss to the edge of the rolled rim. The Tray has had no restoration or inpainting and 100% original. Overall the Tray is very well preserved and displays beautifully. Please see the scans below for a good indication of the condition of this fantastic California Brewery Beer Tray!!
