Very hard to find size 68 shell. This is one of the hardest to find sizes and makers of the Austrian 1917 shell. This size 68 equates to an extra large size 60 liner or 7.5 US. As you can see the paint appears to be original Austrian Erdbraun but I believe it to be original post WW1 paint, because of the brush strokes in the paint, it appears to be repainted but not recently. The Austrian Army continued the use of these helmets until the start of WWII. The liner also appears to be an original post WW1 liner, it is very solid and seems to have been in this helmet for a very long time. The chinstrap is correct for WW1 but I do believe it to be a collector replacement. Please ask all questions before offerding.
