1920s leather travel compact vanity set, enamel painted w case, key
Price: US $53.50
Always fun to find the travel vanity sets! This one comes in the original black leather looking case, measuring 10\" x 5\" x 2\" and has a strap and snap lock. It has a leaf and floral design in black which makes me think that it\'s not real leather, but more of a vinyl material. The black material shows normal edge wear and the strap shows normal wear from handling it over the past 90 years. The lock snaps closed and hinges are intact. The inside has a mirror in the lid in top condition, it has etched lines on it.The case has a purple colored cotton lining with straps to hold the contents. It includes the 2-1/2\" round brassy powder compact with painted enamel lady on it. She\'s wearing a green dress and has bright red lips! No color off. I haven\'t polished the back, it\'s empty, no puff. This lady appears on the matching 1-3/4\" empty rouge tin, empty, not polished, no puff. It has a lipstick tube and a whisk boom that would be used to clean up loose powder. One slot is empty, I assume it held a comb. This inside section lifts up to reveal a compartment to hold other travel items, along with a slot pocket. The purple fabric is in top condition. The original key that will lock the case is inside! These travel cases came in a variety of shapes and sizes. A lady would travel with this set and would then have access to all of her make up! Fun to find them with the inside pieces and the key to lock the case!A great addition to your collection! It dates from the 1920s.I will combine shipping costs in the US. Outside US buyers please contact me for actual shipping costs and I will combine shipping costs for up to five sales, before a box becomes too heavy and costly to ship! I ship international first class with a customs form through the post office. Cost starts at $16 as I ship in a sturdy cardboard box. Additional items will add to the weight of the box and shipping will increase by $2 for each additional item. Please let me know before paying and I will send an invoice. If you have a concern about international shipping, please contact me before offerding! Please visit my other sales and lady-a website for more fun compacts and information on the new compact specialty group within the international perfume bottle association! I try to be picky with my descriptions, but don\'t hesitate to ask any questions! Thank you.
