Here is an unusual boxed early friction, litho tin Cragstan One-man Gyrocopter (one-man helicopter). The front of the box reads “A Cragstan Toy #1476-4, NGS Made in Japan.” This toy shows very little, if any use. It has a strong friction motor that spins the two sets of fold-out propellers. I’m not sure how to attach them properly, I’m not a toy person. The overall detail and litho color are exceptional. The pilot’s helmet reads “U.S. Air Force.” The rear stabilizers fold down for box storage. The box is complete with one inside spacer. Someone has carefully restored some of the minor tears. Set up, this toy measures 9” by 8” by 7”. It still has the original “Penney’s” price tag. The box measures 7 3/8” by 5 3/4” by 3”. I have never seen another one.
