One of the rarest and most expensive dolls you can find these days is aMarque doll by Albert Marque. Since mostof us cannot afford his dolls, there are many lovely reproductions. Offered here is a lovely 20 inch lady with agreat choice of clothing.
Her face is beautifully painted with large painted feathered brows, blueglass eyes, and upper and lower painted lashes. Her pouty lips are a light blush as well asher cheeks and she has a ‘beauty mark’ in the shape of a tiny heart on herright cheek. Her swivel head is free ofany cracks or chips and is marked on the back of her neck. She has pierced ears and is missing one earring,but as you can see in the picture the ear hole is not chipped. I don’t care for the other earring anyway andwas going to give her more appropriate ones.She has what I think (not an expert) is long red mohair for a wig. It is very full with long ringlets and goeswell with her completion. Her arms andlegs are jointed at the shoulder, elbows, hips, and knees for easy poising. There are no flaws, chips, or hairlines onthis doll.
Not to take anything away from the doll, but her outfit is what I wasattracted to. I purchased two dollsrecently just because of the clothing.I started to remove all the clothing, but soon found that with the tiny bows and buttons, my hands did not work well enough, so tried to take pictures the best I could without continuing to remove clothing.I amconcerned I couldn\'t get it all back on!! This lady has a deep peach silk drop waist dress with a gathered skirtand full long sleeves. It is trimmedwith a ruffle at the top and closed in the back with a tiny snap. She wears an over blouse that is crochetedwith fine ecru thread with many different stitches in order to show off thedress underneath. She also has amatching crocheted beret hat and drawstring purse in the same shade. If that wasn’t enough, the maker fashionedlittle shoes with the same silk as the dress and handmade them adding a tinyrosette with a gold bead. Herundergarment is a muslin slip trimmed in lace that has the pantaletsattached. Everything she is wearingmatches down to the ribbons in her hair.The workmanship is very fine with very tiny stitches and experthandiwork. You have to actually ‘see’this dress to appreciate the work that went into it and the talent it took.

I always try to give a shippingquote as close as possible to exact charges and will refund any charges over$1.00. International purchases and thoseoutside of the continental United States will be weighted after purchase andpackaging at the local Post Office for exact charge before sending an invoice. Refunds are given only on items that have beenmisrepresented. Please email within 24 hours after receiving the item. Allitems must be returned in the exact condition as when I mailed them and must bereceived within 5 days from my consent to have the item returned.
