Amiga Floppy Drive Adapter for internal / external connection - assembled
Price: TW $27.90
You are buying an assembled and tested Amiga Floppy Drive adapter for internal or external use. This adapter can make standard PC floppy drives work on an Amiga computer (as DD drives only!).
It will also work with regular Amiga drives and floppy drive emulators such as GoTek, HxC or Raspberry Pi Drive (one drive only!).This device will work with any classic Amiga computer (1000, 500, 600, 1200, 2000, 3000, 4000).
It can be connected to the internal or external floppy drive port. Most games and demos will work fine.
No special software or driver is required. To make the adapter as compatible as possible, several things can be configured via jumper switches:
- READY signal for PC or Amiga drives
- DISK CHANGE signal for PC or Amiga drives
- hardware selected drive ID (DS0, DS1 or DS2).
Standard Amiga drives are usually set to DS0, PC drives are usually set to DS1, some older drives might be set to DS2.
- Amiga floppy drive ID (DF0, DF1, DF2 or DF3)
On external connections DF0 is not available.
Standard internal connections allow for DF0 or DF1 only. Additional signals for DF2 or DF3 may have to be connected. For external connections an adjusted DB25 connector with 3D printed frame was fitted which fits the Amiga\'s DB23 port. All required 34-conductor flat ribbon cables (not included) should be one-to-one, no twists required.Expedited shipping option preferred as it includes insurrance and would be safer in case of any trouble with the current international shipping chaos.
Although I have assembled and tested this adapter to the best of my abilities on my Amiga 1200, I cannot take any responsibility for any damage caused to your machine. Connection and usage is at your own risk! After all, this is a private sale of DIY equipment. Thanks for understanding!
