This month I replaced the hard drive, CD burner and battery, removed the modem and reinstalled WIndows 98 with all necessary drivers reinstalled and tested all hardware. It is now ready to install your favorite applications, from floppy diskette, CD, or from a USB flash drive.This is one last large white desktop systems. With a CD ROM, CD burner, floppy drive and hard drive installed there are no free drive bays. This is a micro ATX style case, with a 170W power supply.The heart of the system is an Intel motherboard with Intel's 440ZX chipset. It supports Slot 1 Celeron or Pentium III CPUs with front side bus speeds of 66, or 100. I include a 550 MHz Intel Pentium III processor with a 100 MHz FSB and 512KB cache. There are two 168-pin sockets for SDRAM both filled with 64MB DIMMs, upgradeable to 512MB The Intel motherboard includes connectors for two PS/2 ports, two USB 1.1 ports, a parallel port and a serial port. One PCI slot is filled with a 3Com 10/100 ethernet card. There is still one free ISA expansion slot and two free PCI slots. I pulled the 56K PCI modem (which I will ship outside the box) because it took too long for me to find a working driver.The original floppy drive is working, as is the Creative 52X CD ROM that the previous owner installed. I replaced a bad Hewlett Packard CD+RW with a working Liteon CD+RW and added a Western Digital Caviar 300AA 30GB hard drive.I am happy to answer any questions about this system before your purchase.
