Description
In Stock and Ready to Ship!Here is an American Flyer 4687S Blue Lithographed President Set from 1927. This set is the early version. This set includes a 4687 4-4-4 NYC Style locomotive. When this set debuted in the American Flyer 1927 catalog, it was the first set to have the 4-4-4 NYC box-cab electric engine. The locomotive measures 18 1/2 inches long. It is blue with gold-painted window trim, black frame and two black pony trucks. The shell has two brass plates per side, one numbered 4687 and the other lettered American Flyer Lines in three lines. The roof is adorned with two pantographs, two white flags, two nickel head lamps, and nickel decorative bell. This set also includes a 4090 mail and baggage car, 4091 Annapolis pullman and a 4092 West Point observation car. The passenger cars measure 19 inches in length. The cars have lithographed sides in blue with yellow, white, and detail. The car has a blue roof and gray bottom with black vestibule diaphragms and 6-wheel flex trucks with brass journal boxes. Brass battery box and air tanks. The cars feature interior lights.This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good. The motor hums but will not run. Lighting only works in coach car.
