This original pottery bowl is approximately 5 inches wide and 2.5 inches tall, and has been carefully reassembled from ancient broken shards as shown, with no restoration. The New Mexico seller that I acquired it from kindly provided me with its provenance, indicating that it was found on the ranch of the late Frank Tatsch near Silver City, New Mexico in the 1960s-early 70s. The Anasazi civilisation is famous for their remarkable cliff dwellings at Mesa Verde and Chaco Canyon.
