We are listing for your consideration a lovely Antique 19th century Stoneware Salt Glazed Cobalt Blue Flower Decorated 1 Gallon Pennsylvania Crock attributed to Henry Remmey, Philadelphia. This crock is in Excellent Condition with 1 slight 100% secureshortsplit line at the top rim. You can just feel it with your fingernail on the outside. The inside shows the split, we are quite sure this happened during the firing of this crock. The crock rings true when you tap it. There are no chips,cracks, and or repairs. There is some blurriness to thecobalt blue on the one sidedue to an excess ofsalt glaze & some slight manufactured roughness. You can refer to the pictures, we guarantee 100% you will be more than happy with the excellent condition. The crock measures 10 1/8\" tall x 5 3/8\" at the top rim x 7 1/2\" wide x 6 1/4\" at the base and weighs approximately 5lb 12oz. The crock features a wonderful early cylindrical jar form with tapered shoulder and top tooled rim. Wonderful extensive bright cobalt blue throughout, the crock has an impressed circled 1 for gallons. We believe this is an example of Philadelphia Stoneware dating from the early to mid 1800\'s by Henry Remmey. A great Pennsylvania decorated crock.
