Up for sale is a beautiful antique Art Deco Watrous sterling silver ladies double compact in a hexagon shape. Compact measures 2” across. The bottom of the compact is marked International WC Sterling Pat. July 18 1922 with number 273 below. There is a spot for a monogram on the lid (there is no monogram on this piece). There is a delicate chain attached to the compact, please check pictures (there are no markings). The lid has a unique snap opening and opens to a rouge compartment with no product. The bottom compartment opens to an area for powder with a screen inside and there is no puff or product. The screen is marked Pat. Feb. 5 1924. There is a mirror in the lid and compact with mirror. There are 2 small dents on the outside lid, please check pictures. The Watrous Mfg. Company was based in Wellingford Connecticut and became one of the original companies part of the International Silver Co. A lovely antique compact to add to your collection.
