Up for saletonight is an Estatefresh Originalrare Antique Circa 1812 (Frederick Carpenter) CHARLESTOWN Crock with Stars and heavily INCISED around the top and a few bands around the bottom. A very early example as shown by the colors and crudeness. This was found in a barn where it looks like it has been untouched for over 100 years. If you look at the bottom you will see a crack that extends up in 2 directions, I have pictured the cracks that go up about 3/4 of the way, I strongly believe these were made in the making from a glaze pop. The top rim has a few nicks and two old hairlines that extend down halfway to the handle.There are no repairs, it measures about 11 1/2 inches tall, 6 1/2 across the top in diameter and 6 inches across the bottom in diameter.
