Offered in this sale is a scarce Moore Brothers English creamware figural sweetmeat centerpiece vase depicting a pensive cupid towing a cornucopia with applied flowers. The oval base is decorated with a key fret band in black upon a gilded border. It has an impressed mark on the underside of the base. It measures roughly 8" long x 3 3/4" wide x 7" tall. The condition is very good. At first glance other than a few minor bits of loss to the tip of a few of the delicate blue applied flower petals in looks excellent. Upon very close examination, however, I can see that the right wing was broke and very professionally restored. It is so well done that many people might not even notice it. Otherwise, there are no other chips, cracks, hairlines or restorations. This is a nice piece of Victorian English porcelain creamware.
