This bracelet is unique for its delicate design that combines little cameo links along with larger ones. There are a total of 15 carved cameos in total. The smaller cameos depict only a head portrait while the larger panels have detailed full body portraits. The cameos are not done in a high relief but they have a nice amount of detail. There are some small chips and nicks to the cameos and a general amount of surface wear that dulls the details and crispness of the cameos. There is some marbling in color to the Lava, it falls along some lines that look like cracks but upon close inspection it is just a variation in color. There are is one taupe, large cameo that has a few very shallow cracks to the base panel but they are very shallow and don’t go thru to the other side. There is a little bit of sheen to the cameos in the photos because I used some oil to moisturize the material and this sheen is temporary. Overall this is a uniquely designed and well made, 14k gold lava cameo bracelet, that is from the early Victorian era that is in good condition.
