Antique German 1/2L Beer Stein V&B Mettlach 1144 Race Horse Inlay Relief

• To sale comes this beautiful antique stein. It is Villeroy & Boch, Mettlach. 1/2 L, relief and inlay, showing a race horse, among other decor.
• The underside of the lid is marked WEIGEL. The underside of the stein is marked with the Villeroy & Bock Mettlach hallmark. The numbers 19, 16, and 1144.
• This stein dates to 1881-1889.
• The top side of the lid is marked with the previous owner\'s name: Johann Kopp.
• Thumblift is in the shape of the torso of a military person.
• It measures ~7 1/4\" tall with thumblift. It is ~5 3/4\" wide with handle. Bottom diameter is ~4 5/16\". Top opening diameter is ~3 7/16\" at the outside.
• Lid has a small bend in front. Relief decor shows some age-related, expected wear. Bottom rim shows wear. Some spots show repair. See photos for further condition detail.

She has sold pieces to decorate the rustic Ritz Carlton Hotel in Vail, as well as items to Ralph Lauren\'s ranch, and many mountain homes and cabins across the country. She makes three trips a year to Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and France to buy these important pieces and works hard everyday to present them to her customers.
