Beuatiful Antique Mettlach Etched German Beer Stein with an Inlaid Pewter Lid. Dated 1906. A wonderful local estate find, this stein has a wonderful etched scene with a large elk and says \"Benevolent Protective Order Elks\"& \"Cervus Alles\". The sides have a nice Art Noveau decoration. This steinhas aninlaid lid with a large elk rack and it is about 9 1/2\" to the tip of the elkthumblift.The bottomhas theMettlach AbbeyCastleMaker\'s mark, Ges. Gesch., 2936, 25, II, Cand 06 (theVilleroy & Boch date code forthe year it was made ... 1906). It isalso has a large 4 and a small 44. It is in excellent condition and the inside is bright white.
