I don\'t know much about the 4 tin decoysI\'m listing this week, but there is a stamp on the inside of three of them thatlooks like STRATER & S. PAT. OCT. 21, 1874 (this one has the date). Thepaint looks like its original on all of them to me, even on the inside, but yoube the judge. The paint is pretty fancy on all of them. The top of each decoyhas metal rings that hold the two halves together, I\'m guessing this is so theycould open them up and nest them for storage or to save space. This one is almost7\" long and has a nice painted feather pattern, the stick looks original.I bought them from a collector who said he bought them at a estate sale on theConnecticut shore. Theres flakes on all of them, but they\'re in pretty niceshape for paint on tin that\'s this old. See the photos for condition.
