Description: An Early American Stoneware Pitcher with cobalt decoration, Northeastern US origin, ca.1875. Likely a multi-use vessel for serving Water, Ale, Root Beer, Cider or Milk. Bulbous form with tooled pour spout and applied strap handle. Front features a double "Honeysuckle" decoration in bold, Brushed Cobalt.


Condition: Minor rim and base, as shown; otherwise Excellent with strong color. Typical in-the-making glaze and firing imperfections noted throughout, including two small glaze flakes and a stack mark. Displays brilliantly; highly-appropriate for any collection. The rim and base diameters are 4-1/4" and 6-3/8", respectively. Weighs just under 5lbs.
