Estate find of a feather tree music box stand marked LADOR Switzerland. It measures 14 inches round and 5 inches tall and the music box works perfectly. I took it apart so you could see the quality of the music box which plays 2 tunes -Silent Night and Adeste Fideles. It is insuperbcondition and the box runs 14 minutes on a wind up. The lever can be set in 2 positions, the first just turns the tree and the second plays music as the tree spins. I would imagine this piece dates from the 1930\'s based on the silk wiring. The wiring provides two contacts for electricity. I would strongly recommend the wiring be removed because this certainly won\'t meet UnderwritingLaboratorystandards. Just remove 2 screws and it is gone! The base shines brightly and I would think this got little use!
