AU00XVANT342 Fabulous 16th Century Renaissance Gold Diamond Ring c. 1550 AD Size: 7 1/4
Up for sale this week is this beautiful Georgian goldand rose diamonds finger ring, dating to the 18th century. Thering is set with a cluster of nine rose cut diamond, eight arounda larger central diamond. The diamonds are set in silver, mountedonto gold. The finger ring has decorated shoulders and shank. Iam unable to find any makers marks or hallmarks, but the ring isof solid gold and tested as such. This type of ring wasfashionable throughout the 18th century, especially with thediamonds set in silver mounts to bring out their colour. Allstones have been tested and appear original to the ring with noobvious replacements. This is a good piece of wearable Georgianjewellery, ideal as a unique Christmas present to some luckylady!
