1933 Watling Twin-Jackpot Gumball Vender
1c Antique Slot Machine!
Up for sale with is a 100% authentic and very attractive penny slot machine! This machine was made by Watling Scale Company around 1933. During the early part of the Great Depression slot machine makers started offering more 1c slot machines than the standard nickel models. One of the most attractive made during this time is the Watling Twin Jackpot Gumball Vender.
This machine was recently purchased by us out of a large collection. The machine has been given a full internal tune-up and works great! Payouts work as they should, including the two jackpot compartments. Also, after each pull of the handle a gumball can be taken from the right side compartment (the left is just for looks).
This machine has been given a very nice restoration in the past. The castings were polished and repainted correctly. The oak cabinet was refinished and stained / painted in the factory correct style as well. Overall, this machine is simply a stunning machine to look at and enjoy mechanically.

The series of photos above show the overall beautiful condition of the external cabinet. The handle, coin entry, rear coin entry lip all appear to have been re-nickel plated. New award and instruction cards were also installed. The back door is present and has was repainted. The lock on the door is an old replacement.
The front right vender compartment does have the lock door present with lock and key. Also, the jackpot compartment has the original wire glass in it as well. We will send along the gumballs inside the machine.
The last series of photos above show the back of the machine and inside. The inside of the machine is super clean. The original inspection tag is present. The cash box in the machine is a new replacement.
The jackpot mechanism has been removed and given a full tune-up, so it works perfect. The handle has been lubricated for smooth pull. The main mechanism has been cleaned in the past and has also been given a full tune-up by Nations Attic. Shown above in the last photo is the original factory installed tin lithographed reel strips in excellent condition!
Penny slot machines with a gumball vender attachment are always a lot of fun to play and show people. Their bright colors, various features make them super popular for someone looking for their first machine or someone needing the elusive 1c slot. Regardless, this is an excellent example that is sure to impress!
