Description:

An elegant antique Worcester porcelain teapot, decorated in underglaze cobalt blue and gilt, on a wrythen ribbed circular body, made at the famous Worcester factory, c 1790, and marked with the open blue crescent mark to the base.

The lid, with \'fir tree\' form finial, and wrythen, or spiral ribbed circular shape, is decorated with underglaze blue bands with gilt wreath highlights, and three bluebell flowers. The body of the pot, of a similar rounded wrythen shape, features a matching blue band around the shoulders, and six bluebell flowers, a \'C\' scroll handle and curved spout.

Condition:

In very good antique condition, without damage or restoration. Small firing flaw within the spout, and expected wear to the gold gilt to the handle and finial. The inner lip of the lid shows some very minor bites. Please see the images provided whichcomplement this description.
