Cap\'n Crunch Cereal BO\'SUN WHISTLE 2600Hz Red Hacker Phreak Telephone 1960s This sale is for a vintage, fully functional 1960s Cap\'n Crunch Bo\'sun Whistle that was included in cereal boxes. This piece became legendary when hackers realized they could sieze control of the telephone line - the first step in tricking the system to make whatever phone calls they wanted. Some history:[link removed by ] This whistle is in nice physical condition with no cracks. However, the front side is significantly faded, so it\'s more of a pink color than the original red on the back side. The red side has some white swirls in it.Measures approx. 3 1/8\" long. This was my first purchase back in May 1999 and it\'s time it goes to a new home.Makes a great addition to any hacker/phreaker/telephony collection.
