I bought \"Sunray\" at an estate sale in Martinsburg, WV. I like my caroffere lamps to work. To get this one working I had to ream the tip out, replace the missing gasket and filter. I put a new flint in the striker. It works great. Fine source of light in the subterranean world.
The nickel plating is good condition. It is worn in some spots, with a small amount of pitting. There are a few dents, dingsand scratches. The most notable dent is to the water cap. But it still holds the water in and opens and closes easily. One of thehat holders is missing.
The water valve does cut on and off and control the flow of water.
I cannot say that the reflector is original to the lamp. The earliest lamps did not use the fancier (optional) radial-rib design.
I hope you enjoy this little bit of SUNSHINE as much asI enjoy bringing it to you.
