Vintage acoustic violin, Unknown maker. Handwritten marks inside as described above.The top and back are both 2 piece, the purfling detail looks inlaid.
Selling this As Found, for PARTS or REPAIR. The major issue with this is the finish- looks like someone started to strip it and then quit. There is separation on the left side of the neck and a little along the bottom. We can see what look like small nail heads on both sides of the scroll.
Comes with a wood BOW stamped WEIDLICH. Oswald Weidlich was a luthier born in Markneukirchen Germany in 1864 and died in Budapest, Hungary in 1907. The bow has no cracks in the shaft. Some minor edge wear/chipping on frog.
The violin comes to you in a vintage Carrying Case- leatherette over wood construction with a metal handle and green fabric lined fitted interior. Marked G&S on the latches. It is good, used. Wear, soil, verdigris on hardware, inside compartment has loss on one side. A;so included is a small 3-prong wood piece and an old box of Sherman's Violin Rosin.
