Set of 5 Vintage Bisque German Dolls from the 1930s, Dionne QuintupletsThis sale is for a set of 5 vintage German bisque dolls from the 1930s representing the Dionne Quintuplets.  Each quintuplet was assigned a color and each doll is dressed in their unique color.  The dolls are 3.75 inches (9.5cm) tall.  Their dresses are sewn on and appear to have never been removed.  The dolls look like they have never been played with, although they do have some minor age related wear.  Each doll has painted on shoes that match the color of the dress.  The bonnets are similarly tied with color matched ribbon.  The outfits are identical other than the color.  The dolls themselves appear to all be from the same mold but were hand painted and thus have minor variations between them.  \"Germany\" is stamped into their backs.  All of the paint seems to be there with lots of vibrant color on the skin tones, though there is some minor flaking on a few of the dolls.  Please see pictures for more detail.  The dolls are jointed at the hips and shoulders and strung with elastic so they can be posed.  The stringing is tight enough that the dolls can stand on their own, although I would not recommend leaving any antique doll standing without a stand for very long.
The set of dolls will arrive to you in a display box that I have made for this sale with the intention of providing both a nice packaging for shipping as well as a display case.
