We\'re offering this extra large late 18th C. early 29th C. Hirado Imari period porcelain blue and white charger. Lovely rich and hand painted underglaze in the Imari Hirado. Unmarked.

This item was purchased from The Walter Place; a historic estate open to tours to the public. This beautiful charger was among the items on display.

The Walter Place has a connection to the US Civil War where General and Mrs. Ulysses S. Grant stayed during the planning of the siege of Vicksburg.

CONDITION

In excellent overall condition.

Normal glaze imperfections and signs of wear commensurate with age and use. No chips, cracks or repairs. A very beautiful piece.
