WELCOME TO MY sale, GOOD LUCK ON YOUR offerS!Nice original campaign hat as worn by United States Army troops from the Spanish American War through World War One.This one is an excellent example of a \"Montana Peak\" style hat.This hatmaywell be aStetson but it has no makers mark left on the sweatband.It most likely was manufactured pre WWI due to the 5 lines of stitching along the brim and the lack of chin strap grommet - it does have the eyelet for a shoestring strap under the hat band.Not sure of exact date of manufacture but you collectors will know.Size is approximately 7 1/4. Inside measurement is approx. 22 inches.Sweat band is intact but stitching is coming loose.There is some moth bites on the hat, mostly on the top rear of the hat.Hat is wearable or ready for display.See the photos..
