This design transcends time and gives radiant sparkle with a classic profile. This particular piece is unique for its condition and quality - it is superior - and sparkles just as diamonds do. The links graduate delicately getting smaller at the back of the neck and finishes with a matching hidden clasp. At the back side of the clasp, there are some lightly etched numbers (it looks like the piece was catalogued in a collection but this is a guess). The links have a thick and plumped“cup”shape and they are all pillowy and full with two very tiny and shallow dimples on a couple of links. The gold plating is intact with very little thinning and the tiniest bit of surface wear. The paste is incredibly bright and fresh looking without any chipping or wear to the glass and no darkening or wear to the foil. There are no signs of repair and the necklace graduates symmetrically without any links missing. Overall this is a beatifully made, riviere paste necklace, that was made in France during the early 1800s that is in Excellent condition.
