This is a SIGNED vintage very well hand-carved shell cameo brooch or pendant, set in585 14kt karat yellow gold. The brooch has a little attached flexible ring at the top of the underside, should you want to thread a gold chain through and wear this as a pendant. I believe the brooch dates back to the 1950s-1960s or so and it was made in Italy. The cameo itself is channel-set into a gold bezel and then mounted onto a gold frame. The brooch or pendant is hand-signed 585, followed by a tiny recessed number, and then ITALY on the underside. Refer to last photo with this listing. The brooch measures1⅛" down (NOT counting the the little flexible gold ring at the top) by just over⅞"across. Overall condition is EXCELLENT. You see NO damage or anything else wrong. The cameo is perfect! She is just beautiful.
NOTE:The photos with the lace background were taken indoors in natural indirect sunlight, as it comes through my second story office window. All other photos were taken outdoors.
