Up for sale is a neat Fish Effigy Bowl from the Mississippian Period. Made from shell tempered grey clay. I bought this piece several years ago at a local sale along with several others. All of the potter was formerly in the Hiwassee College collection ( Madisonville, TN.) which they were thinning out. Most pieces were found in the early 1900's. This particular bowl appears to have been repaired. Guaranteed to be 100% authentic or your money back. !!
