Here is a nice original Friemann-Wolf canister style miner\'s caroffere lamp from my former Colorado mining museum. Nice brass reflector is original new old stock. Brass collar and water feed and double banner brass maker\'s tag with \"Made in Germany\" import tag on the bottom.The Friemann-Wolf Co. in Zwickau,Germany imported this lamp to western mining hardware stores prior to World War 1. Right after the war the newly-formed U.S. company started production of this style lamp in New York. The large canister caroffere lamps like this one were very popular in the western mines with large ore stopes and lengthy drifts to illuminate. This is the smallest size of the model 856 Wolf, 3 inch diameter canister, and along with the nice German quality construction also, it made it popular with mining engineers and shift bosses who stayed underground for shorter periods of time that the miners.Don\'t miss this nice quality mining shift lamp. Still works after more than 100 years.Lots of photos,no returns.
