Offer expired Dec. 30, 1980, celebrating the grand opening of one of the first Chuck E. Cheese\'s Pizza Time Theatre. at the Eastgate Center in Garden Grove. Condition of this original vintage mailed postcard is Good, corner wear, but no creases. Contiinental size.

Chuck E. Cheese’s (formerly Chuck E. Cheese\'s Pizza Time Theatre and Chuck E. Cheese\'s Pizza) is a chain of American family entertainment centers and restaurants. The chain is the primary brand of CEC Entertainment, Inc. and is headquartered in Irving, Texas. The establishment serves pizza and other menu items, complemented by arcade games, amusement rides, and animatronic displays as a focus of entertainment for the entire family. The brand derives its name from its main animatronic character Chuck E. Cheese, a comedic mouse who sings and interacts with guests.

The first location opened in San Jose, California, as Chuck E. Cheese\'s Pizza Time Theatre on May 17, 1977. The concept was authored by Atari co-founder Nolan Bushnell, credited with bringing video games such as Pong to the mainstream. The Pizza Time Theatre was the first family restaurant to integrate food, animated entertainment, and an indoor arcade. Following a filing for bankruptcy, the chain was acquired by competitor Showbiz Pizza Place in 1984, forming Showbiz Pizza Time, Inc. In 1990, the company began unifying the two brands with the goal of renaming every location to Chuck E. Cheese\'s Pizza. The logo was redesigned in 1994 after Pizza was dropped from each store\'s name. Showbiz Pizza Time, Inc. became CEC Entertainment, Inc. in 1998, and over 600 Chuck E. Cheese stores are open in 47 states and 15 foreign countries as of 2017.

Just a quick guide to the postcard grading standard we use: MINT: A perfect card just as it comes from the printing press. No marks, bends, or creases. No writing or postmarks. NEAR MINT (NM): Like mint but very light aging of very slight discoloration from being in an album for many years. Not as sharp or crisp. EXCELLENT (EX): Like mint in appearance with no bends or creases, or rounded or blunt corners. May be postally used or unused and with writing and postmark only on the address side. A clean, fresh card on the picture side. VERY GOOD (VG): Corners may be just a bit blunt or rounded. Almost undetectable crease or bend that does not detract from overall appearance of the picture side. May have writing or postally used on the address side. A very collectible card. GOOD (G): Corners may be noticeably blunt or rounded with noticeable slight bends or creases. May be postally used or have writing on address side. FAIR: Card is intact. Excess soil, stains, creases, writing, or cancellation may affect picture. POOR: Self-explanatory, sold as-is.

a. sale Purchases: Wait for combined shipping invoice on multiple sale wins prior to payment. This may take up to a day based on my schedule, and does not affect your prompt payment status. The message line of the invoice will reflect that the postage has been combined.

b. Buy-It-Now Purchases: If you plan to buy more than one item from me, add them to your shopping cart, DO NOT USE BUY IT NOW. d. No refunds will be made for those who cannot wait for a combined invoice. Please don\'t offer/buy if you don\'t agree to this.

2) POSTAGE: All USPS postage rates are calculated using the most affordable (not the quickest) shipping class, based on a pre-sale estimated weight and size of the package. If you want to upgrade to a quicker, more expensive postal class, you must let me know BEFORE you pay.

3) SALES TAX: All items shipped to addresses within New York State must be charged applicable NY sales tax unless you first send me a scan of a completed NY resale certificate ST-120 or exempt organization certificate before you checkout (see 1.b. above for requesting total). You will have my email address available after the sale to do this. I will then send you an amended invoice. If you have purchased before and I have a resale certificate already, let me know and I will send you an amended invoice. Once I have your tax form filed, I won\'t ask you to send another one again, but just remind me I have it.
