Superb 9ct yellow gold georgian seal fob with a family crest of a mermaid with looking glass combing her hair. Engraved into a pale citrine (Scottish)stone, foil backed. good condition tests as gold (although these fobs have a non gold strengthening loop cased inside the gold loop at the top otherwise they would wear through fairly quickly). some very fine scratches to the surface of the agate there is some white residue in the extreme close up , this is invisible to the naked eye and even with a magnifying glass. measures 0.8 in 2.1cm high. intaglio 0.6 x 0.5inches,. Could be the MURRAY family crest or clan badge which is the same mermaid.
