This listing is for a very unique Beer Stein. It is a gorgeously crafted grayish-white stein with a detailed carving of Otto von Bismarck on the lid. On the body of the stein is a picture of the Bismarck Tower, which was commissioned by Darmstadt students in memory of Otto von Bismarck. The building was a look-out tower on the Dommerburg from 1904-1908. The stein is in great condition with the exception of a hairline fracture on one side (shown in the pictures). The dimensions are roughly 7\" x 5.25\" x 3.75\". Also on the stein, are the German phrases: \"Bismarckturm Der Darmstadter\" and \"Studentenschaft herbst1908\". It is 0.5L. On the bottom is the manufacturer\'s mark: R. Merkelbach Grenzhausen.
