German WWII NPEA School Dagger with School Marked Frog and Guards
Price: US $1575.00

Up for sale I offer this beautiful NPEA School Markeddagger:The physical description of the dagger is as follows:The blade has some discoloration to it overall with a nice crisp motto present as well as theKARL BURGSMULLER,BERLIN,CHARLOTTENBURG 5. maker mark. The blades tang shows some pitting and rust. This would be a type 1 blade.
The crossguards are the early nickel silver variety with the P.S.foundry maker inside the lower guard.Externally the lower guard has the early styled K stamp for the Koslin NPEA School which was located North of modern day Poland. Its was the 3rd.NPEA school created in 1933.Also present externallyon the lower guard is the student number stamp showing this dagger was issued to student #155.On the inside of theupper guard I can only make out a P.The other side is unlegible.
The wood handle is the high ridged type and is plain without any insignia, markings or cut outs for anything. This is correct for the NPEA Student dagger. So please don\'t pull this sale.I have clearly showed both sides of the handle. There would have never been any banned symbols on this dagger !!!! The handle has no cracks or chips present. There is some light scuffing and stain wear but it is minimal and the grip is sound. The tang nut is in good shape and all 3 of the nickelhilt parts match well for patina. There is a tan felt blade buffer pad present. It is stretched out and falls off easily but hey,its still there.

The scabbard is dent free. The ball tip is in great shape and the frog lug is sound.Upon inspecting the underside of the frog lug, there is a 753H stamp present, which I am told is correct for this scabbard. The throat, throat screws and blade runners are all in great shape and the dagger slides in and out of the scabbard nicely.I believe the scabbard has had a repaint at some time or another.Period or not,I cant really say.

The daggers frog is midly scratched and shows wear as it should.Has that aged been there smell like only old leather has.The frogs reverse side is stamped with the NPEA stamp as well as the Koslin School stamp
