Handcrafted Vintage Porcelain Irish Christmas Boy Elf Leprechaun and Girl Elf Leprechaun needs a new, loving, restorative home to keep this beautiful pair together!
Exquisite craftsmanship went into creating this magical pair of Irish Christmas Leprechaun Elves. The heads, hands and feet are porcelain and the bodies are hand-stitched, adorned with handcrafted Christmas clothing. The beautiful hand painting and shading of their features are just exquisite!
They have soft bodies, legs and arms. I do not know what they are \"stuffed\" with, but they are a firm soft - nice to the touch. There is a slight, faint \"tattoo\" on the boy\'s face on the right cheek which is a lovely touch of whimsy. The stitching is still very nice on the body and limbs. The clothes were made to look frayed and I speculate that a little light steaming would smooth them out very nicely.
Since there is some very minimal damage, these lovely elves need someone to lovingly restore them back to perfect health! They certainly don\'t deserve to be thrown away and need some TLC.
The artist was known to be a craftsperson with the LLL cursive signature which was sent with this pair but the tags are not with the dolls. It is known that these dolls were displayed at Christmas as early as 1959 in the now-deceased grandmother\'s house.
Please Note!These dolls were not packed very well and stored in an attic. There was no detectible mold, mold odor or musty smell.The attic was in a smoker\'s home. Do not buy these if you demand that your items come from a smoke-free environment. We personally do not detect smoke smell - but some others \"may\" detect something that we can not.
Buyers accept all the conditions of the dolls as shown and described and no returns will be accepted based on damage or odor since these issues are extremely well researched and documented BEFORE the sale.
