This is a Toy Model of a 1954 Chevrolet Corvette, Produced by The Hubley MFG. Co. of Lancaster, PA, Circa 1954. It is MINT IN THE ORIGINAL BOX! I rarely if ever use the term \"mint,\" as it is quite rare that something truly is \"mint,\" but this toy is! I may have been only the first person to have ever removed it from its original box! The box is very close to being perfect, with all flaps intact, with only the most minimal wear from being around for over 60 years! There are two number panels, one on each box end flap,where the number was scratched out, which may have been a factory thing, who knows? The original cardboard insert is there, as is the original piece of coated paper put over the car to protect the finish. The toy shows no signs of ever having been rolled on any surface. All that said, this is a toy and there are production imperfections, such as a rub in the silver paint on one hub cap, the imperfect way the plastic windshield fits into the body, casting marks, paint transfer, etc., but as someone who has collected and dealt in collectible toys for most of his life, I tell you that this is as close to perfect as a toy like this ever gets. I did notice that the front wheels, which, by the way, \"steer\" by turning the steering wheel, but they do not spin freely. I don\'t know what is keeping them from turning freely and I\'m not about to force the issue, but I thought I should mention it. The body is all metal and measures approx. 13\" long. The tires are real rubber and show no signs of cracking, the seats, windshield, hubcaps and some trim parts are plastic. All that said,I ask that you PLEASE BASE YOUR offerS ENTIRELY ON THE PHOTOS, as I am selling this Magnificent 1954 Chevrolet Corvette toy \"as-is, as-found.\" Please look the photos over carefully and ask any questions you may have, BEFORE you place a offer. THIS ITEM SHIPS PRIORITY MAIL, ONLY! I will pack the car outside of the original box, in tissue and bubble wrap. The car is so heavy, I don\'t want it moving around inside theoriginal box, as it might damage it.
