    DESCRIPTION Fort Knox Antiquities is very pleased to offer this Native American, Large Black Mesa Black -on- White bowl — 1000 – 1100 AD Anasazi. Ex-Museum piece. This boldly painted black on white bowl Done in the typical vegetal paints with interlocking design. A large bowl of a very rare type. Provenance:  Originally acquired by Mr. Gary Majors on private land in accordance with state and federal laws. This olla was once in the collection of “The Superstition Mountain Historical Society” and was displayed in the museum near the Superstition Mountains. The bowl has been re-assembled from 5 pieces, just broken and glued. All pieces are authentic, no plaster present. The bowl measures 5.0 inches tall and 10.0 inches in diameter.

   Buyers should use caution in buying artifacts. Recently many stone “Hohokam” replicas have found their way onto the market. Not only are these illegal to possess as forgeries but they are also not authentic. Know what you are buying. We will help anyone with authentication at no charge and write letters to help you recover our monies if needed.
