Title: Large Carved Stone Amulet Antique 1880s Asian Chinese Peacock 281cts CNX

Description: Here we have a very large antique carved stone amulet depicting a peacock. A very important symbol in Chinese culture, this beautiful & regal bird also has been associated with Quan Yin, the Goddess of Mercy. This carving is unique & visually appealing in the way it flows across the large stone. I don?t know if this was a usable item or just decorative (it certainly is that!) & comes in a nice embroidered pouch as shown.
