This listing is for a very beautiful 19th century Victorian silver plate and American Brilliant cut crystal glass epergne vase or centerpiece. Not including the glass the the top the silver plate itself measures 27 inches or 68.5 cm high, and is 17 inches or 43 cm wide from arm to arm. The largest bowl in the top measures 13 inches or 33 cm in diameter, the 3 smaller bowls measure 5 inches or 12.7 cm in diameter.The centerpiece piece features a round stepped base with a fluted column form standard and ribbed balls placed between them. The 3 arms are scrolling leaves with dog heads at the base of the arm facing the standard. The silver plate also has scrolling acanthus leaf accents with beaded and base relief flowers along the edges. The bowls are high cut American Brilliant crystal glass. They have sharp scalloped edges with fan and diamond patterns. The silver plate is in very good condition, the arms are slightly bent up, the chains that hung from the standard are missing but still have the loops and could be replaced. There is a professional repair to one arm just under the part that holds the glass dish. Two small glass dishes are in very good condition, the third small dish has a chip to a couple of teeth, the larger dish has a chip on one tooth and a stable crack measuring 4.25 inches long from the edge.
