This is what appears to be an all original, Lionel BRASS No. 54 \"Square Cab\" version, circa 1912. It measures approx. 15.5\" long by 5.5\" tall. As you can see from the photos, one side is discolored. I have no idea if this can be polished off, as I did not try. I believe that this locomotive is completely original, with the exception of the wheels. The wheels appear to be original Lionel, but they have been painted red on one side of the loco and the red paint does not look original. Most of these locos came from the factory with red wheels, so one can only guess why the black ones are on there, but the black ones DO look original. That said, I believe this piece to be all original, otherwise, with the possible exception of some replacement screws or very minor items that may have been replaced over the CENTURY+ that this piece has existed. The pilots are attached with two screws, secured with nuts. The two nuts are missing from one pilot. The headlight is the \"screw on\" type, but the cab is \"punched\" to accept the \"slide on\" style as well. One of the vent screens is opened up a bit, please see photo. The armature seems to be stuck and the gears are not meshing properly, so it will need some work before it can run, but it appears to be all there and I can\'t imagine that the repairs would be major. That said, it is over 100 years old, so please keep that in mind, as I am selling this marvelous piece \"as-is.\" Please look the photos over carefully and ask any questions you may have, BEFORE you place a offer.
