This lovely example of Los Castillo\'s mixed metal design would be a great piece in anyone\'s home. The honeypot and spoon are silver plated. The perfectly placed bee is of mixed metals: brass, copper, and silver-plate. The flower on the spoon has a greenish turquoise center. On the bottom it is marked with \"Los Castillo Taxco\" in a clockwise circle. In the center of the circle it appears to be marked TA-01. Under that it is stamped \"Plateado\"(plated) and the number 150.
The spoon is also marked with \"Los Castillo Taxco\", but the Taxco mark is upside down. It also has \"Plateado\" and the numbers in the center of the circle are TA-01.
TA-01 signifies that Antonio Castillo was the artisan for this piece.
We have owned this piece for 17 years, however, it has never been filled with anything. It was just decorative, so it is in like new condition. Upon researching the hallmarks on the piece, it appears that the pot was crafted some time between 1939-1962 and the spoon\'s mark appears to indicate that it was crafted some time between the 1950\'s and 1970\'s.
