A wonderful antique Georgian 18K gold, opal and black enamel floral ring.This beautiful 18K yellow gold George IV ring has a lovely opal cabochon framed in a gold wreath and set in a fabulous black enamel panel with inlaid gold floral decorations. The ring has forked shoulders with intricate floral and scrolling decorations and a reeded band. The ring is fully hallmarked with the crown for London, England, George IV\'s head, maker \'JW\' for John Williams (registered 1815 to 1837), \'18\' for 18K gold and date letter \'l\' for 1826.The ring is approximately a size 5 1/2.The face of the ring measures approximately 12mm x 10mm. The opal measures about 5mm long. The total weight of the ring is approximately 2.7 grams.The ring has many old solder repairs, one of the shoulder forks is split and general overall wear including to the enamel. This beautiful 18K yellow gold George IV ring has a lovely opal cabochon framed in a gold wreath and set in a fabulous black enamel panel with inlaid gold floral decorations.
