This Mettlach etched lidded Cavalier stein 1796 measures approx. 8 7/8\" high to top of pewter on handle.

Manufactured in 1888 (date code is to the right of 1796)
Base stamps include Mettlach Abbey logo, Gegen Nachbildung Geschutzt
Inside, under handle hinge is stamped R. Wagner / Mettlach
This stein is in very good condition without cracks. It does show a few paint rubs and the pewter, area, does need cleaning.
I still do not know much about these and I have one more I will be putting on. Please note the descriptions and photos. I am hoping they speak for themselves. I will try my best to answer any questions.
