Here\'s an Interesting Antique Violin and Bow Labeled Nicolaus Amati offered at !!!!!! This is an Estate Attic find, and will need some work to be made playable. The body is intact and pretty tight with cosmetic wear mostly to the varnish and the edges (see picture 10 which shows an example of the wear). Picture 6 shows a very tight hairline running only about 3/4\" from one of the sound holes. At the end of the neck where it meets the headstock the little piece that holds the strings in place is missing (picture 4). The Bow looks like a nice example but is apparently unmarked. The finish of the Bow is worn but otherwise it\'s in Good Condition. The label inside reads \"Nicolaus Amati Made in Germany\". The back of the violin measures approximately 14 and 1/4\" long and the overall length of the instrument is about 23 and 3/8\". The ripped photo was in the case with the violin.
