Item info: Here\'s a rare animation production cel from Disney\'s 1961 animated classic, One Hundred and One Dalmatians. The cel features Danny, the big Great Dane who helps start the Twilight Bark after Cruella De Ville\'s henchmen steal Pongo and Perdita\'s puppies. In the film, Danny was voiced by actor George Pelling.
The cel was sold in the early 1960s in Disneyland at the famed Art Corner store in Tomorrowland. The back of the matte features the gold seal attesting to its origins at Disneyland and the Art Corner. The Art Corner routinely would add Xeroxed backgrounds or cute quotes on the matte - this one reads, \"Barf!\"
It\'s a big, beautifully expressive cell featuring this character on high alert. Great if you\'re a fan of 101 Dalmatians or collect Disney production cels from the Art Corner.
Condition: The cel is in good condition. There\'s a slight smudge on the front of the cel to the left of the character - this could likely be cleaned off. The cel is still firmly affixed to the matte. I can\'t see any signs of chipping. The left nose area\'s edge - when looked at in a different light angle - may be starting to adhere to the background but the paint has not pulled away. The matte\'s corners are not worn or chipped, just starting to age a little in color. Overall a very nice piece!
