Original WWII British Airborne Paratrooper Battle Dress Tunic

This amazing piece of history is the battle dress tunic for a Lieutenant in the 9th Battalion, 6th Airborne Division of the British Army during the greatest conflict in human history, WWII.

This tunic is in excellent condition with NO external mothing, tears, or stains. Also,ALL buttons, buckles, and patches are securely fashioned and none are missing. As pictured, there have been several nicely done patches on the interior of the jacket. These appear to haveprobably been done by the original soldier andNO damage is visible on the exterior of the jacket as seen in the photograph of the rear of the tunic.

Accoutrement on this uniform includes: Parachute Regiment Patches, Jump Wings Patch, Pegasus Patches, Epaulette Loops, Shoulder Lanyard, Lieutenant RankTabs, Ribbon Bar, Years of Service Chevrons

The interior of the tunic has the original manufacturer\'s patch marked Albion Ltd. Belfast Jan. 1942. It is a size No. 15 (5\'11\"-6\'0\"). It is stamped with the Broad Arrow mark and also is marked with what appears to be a name and possibly a service number. Please see pictures.

The gentleman that I acquired this tunic from advised me that the tunic and patches are all 100% original and pass the black light test. The back story for this beautiful tunic that he relayed to me is that it was purchased from the estate of a former curator of the Imperial War Museum in the 1970\'s.
